Scarab's Reincarnation Wall Adornment

  • $540.00

Like the ancient image of a scarab reaching for the desert sun, the curved lines of this metal work radiate outwards from the orb-like center, forming wings of reincarnation reaching towards the sky. Echoing the symbolism of the scarab’s eternal rebirth, the scales of the snake, shedding its skin once a month, are encapsulated within squares of glass, balancing the directionality of straight lines with meandering curves, and rows of delicate silver chain hanging from its fixture. The patterning of the snake shed fades from warm brown to translucent white within the three squares, like the sun setting over the great pyramids, to return when the scarab god rolls the sun across the sky each morning anew. Hang this pieces as inspiration to embrace transformation and treat each new day as a reincarnation of the past, ripe with opportunities for growth.

This art is intended for wall adornment and is not suitable for wear.

This piece measures 4 1/4" in length by 3 1/4" in width and hangs a full 6 1/2" including the oxidized sterling chain detail.

Please note this item is MADE TO ORDER and therefore WILL NOT SHIP until 1-2 weeks after you place your order.

As this item is hand-made to order, each element (butterfly wing, feather, snakeskin, skull, etc.) is unique in its own way, and may vary slightly in the finished piece. There may also be a difference in size of up to 1/8". The focal-piece is constructed with lead-free silver solder, oxidized, and polished.

All of HartVariations materials are cruelty-free and ethically sourced with great care. We are dedicated to No-Harm principles in our work. Please visit the FAQ page of the website to learn more.

PIECE CARE: Please handle this piece with great care, avoid water and chemical cleaning products. To remove dust simply wipe with a soft cloth. Because of the stained glass medium we work in, we are able to use delicate materials from nature that are very heat-sensitive. Too much heat and the wings change color, sometimes losing the vibrant magic that makes them so special. The metal in our work is an alloy of silver and tin, which melts at a lower temperature than sterling. We 100% stand by our work and have sold thousands of pieces in the eight years we've been in business, with a very small number needing repair. The same way you would take care of a silk blouse, please consider the medium in the treatment of your piece and approach with intention and care.

SHIPPING: Please be sure to read the shipping and policies information before your purchase.
